In my humble opinion, women should really have themselves fitted every six months to a year. Why? Because every female knows that the body goes through phases where we don’t seem to be able to control the fluctuation of certain areas of our figure.
With this in mind, you can update your underwear drawer and keep an eye on your exact bust size. Don’t forget that bra fabric doesn’t last forever and although some fabrics survive general wear and tear better, the average bra, if worn a lot, won’t be able to survive longer than half a year.
For those of you who have never had a fitting before or are in doubt of the results of your last fitting, come in and see us as we are all trained by Eveden Ltd (the company who produce Fantasie, Freya and Fauve) and get your true size pin-pointed. I bet you anything you are smaller in the back than you think, and larger in the cup. These are the tell-tale signs that your bra is the wrong size:
The back is riding up or curved
Your shoulder straps keep falling down
The central front section (bridge) is not sitting flat on your chest
You suffer from (what I like to call) “double boob” and it is noticeable under t-shirts
You’re wearing it on the tightest hook when you first buy it
You’ve worn it for the past six years (!)
The actual measuring takes a couple of seconds but finding the right style of bra can be the part that takes the longest amount of time. If you’re coming in for a fitting, leave yourself a good 30 – 45 minutes and try and come in without children or partners, as you will feel the time constraints more. No booking is necessary but please be aware that our quietest times tend to be early morning or late afternoon.
